| Alexander Publications is the premier supplier of technical books, training manuals and videos for workers at electric utilities. Our publications are used by linemen, distribution designers, metermen, trainers, substation operators, utility managers, electrical contractors, and safety directors.
We focus on transmission, distribution, substations, and metering — everything except generation.
Every item in the product line has been carefully selected for its ability to help utility workers save time, save money, and become more productive.
Founded in 1995, Alexander Publications is headquartered in Newport Beach, California.
Rich Alexander selects our publications based on their ability to clearly explain topics of importance to power industry workers. He is the author of 11 of our books, edited more than 25 other books, and has read or examined every publication we sell. He knows our products well, and can be contacted by e-mail or telephone for advice. He is a good listener, respects everyone, and welcomes suggestions for improving our publications. Prior to founding Alexander Publications, Rich was a consultant to electric utilities and others, and an occasional author. He is Managing Editor of “Handbook for Electricity Metering, Ninth Edition” published by Edison Electric Institute. He has a BS degree with honors in electrical engineering from Yale University, and an MBA from Harvard.
