This training program assumes no prior knowledge of transformers, or even of electrical concepts. The book is organized into five chapters:

• Electricity Fundamentals - Units of electricity, Ohm’s law, power, magnetism, AC generators, sine waves.
• Transformer Connections - Transformer construction, polarity, single-phase connections, delta and wye circuits.
  
• Understanding Sequence - Primary and secondary phase sequence, motor rotation direction, exercises with solutions.
  
• Three-Phase Connections - Delta and wye primaries and secondaries, two-transformer connections, three-transformer connections.
  
• Voltage Phasor Diagram - Voltage phasors defined, phasor diagrams for delta and wye connections, many exercises with solutions.
  

After mastering this course, linemen are qualified to deal with nearly any distribution transformer situation they may encounter in the field.
